From the golden rolling plains of Nebraska comes the earthy artist Debie Robbins. Her voice has been heard throughout the country, in every quaint arena possible, from churches to night clubs to the Hindu temple in Nashville, Tennessee. Her voice has obvious roots deep in ranch country, spiced with years of singing pop and rock. Her song writing technique is a testimony to a life of hard knocks and gratitude.

"Some call her music rootsy, peaceful feminist, or alternative country; raw, earthy and soulful. Others can't put a finger on it, but all agree--it's powerful."

This artist/writer moved to the Nashville area in 1989. Having never visited, she just knew and had known since the age of 11 that this would one day be her home--because her people were here--she had heard them on the radio. You'll hear Debie's heart and soul poured out in this, her debut album on Acoustic Revival Records. "WHO'S TO SAY" a country kid from Broken Bow Nebraska, who followed her dream wherever it would lead, was right or wrong. We believe she was right. Doing just what she has since an early age, when her mom would have her and the other 3 siblings singing acapella harmonies, rehearsing for the next Lions Club gig.

Music, much like life, runs in cycles, and chasing after fads hasn't been Debie's forte. Rather, she is following her own heart, listening to the voice she heard at age 11, and willingly learning the rules of Nashville's Music Row... then... quietly... breaking them.

Arise Then, Women Of This Day! Arise, all women who have hearts, whether your baptism be that of water or of tears! Say firmly, "We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies. Our husbands shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience. We women of one country will be too tender of those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs." (Original Mothers Day Proclamation, 1870)

Thanks:

My sincere thanks to my family, friends, Don King and Don King Sr. for sharing in this endeavor. Thanks to the Great Giver of Visions and Voice. To the women of this planet, I urge you to consider that all of humanity ever to exist came from within you, literally, there is no replacement. Therefore, love. To all who listen to this recording, thank you.
